Windows drivers for the following products:

  • Digital Devices - Cine Serie
  • Digital Devices - DuoFlex Serie
  • Digital Devices - Octopus Serie
  • Digital Devices - MAX Serie
  • Digital Devices - Flex-CI Module

Due to patches for the operating systems Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 from Microsoft (not Windows Server 2008 R2) no longer being available, the installation of drivers for these operating systems is only possible up to version 2.6.2.126.

For Windows XP, driver support is also only available up to version 3.0.3.224.

If you have problems with Windows 7, please check if the update KB3033929 is installed, this is included in the normal standard updates from Microsoft.

Under Windows 10, a driver installation with activated "Secure Boot" is possible up to version 2.6.1.118.
Under Windows 11, a driver installation with activated "Secure Boot" is possible up to version 2.6.2.126.

When installing the Windows 11 operating system, Secure Boot is activated by default.
After the installation of Windows 11, Secure Boot can be deactivated again in the firmware of the mainboard (BIOS), just as with Windows 10.

Linux Driver

New Digital Devices Cards Require Latest Drivers on Linux

If your new card is not visible in the system (e.g., ls /dev/dvb/ shows nothing), and you are using one of the following models:

  • Digital Devices Max M2
  • Digital Devices Octopus CI-M2
  • Digital Devices Max M8E (Europe)

the issue is most likely caused by an outdated dddvb driver that does not support newer hardware.

Check Your Current Driver Version

You can verify which driver version is currently installed with the following command:

modinfo ddbridge | grep version

If the version is older than 0.9.40, or if the driver is missing entirely, you need to update it.

To ensure proper support for newer cards, use version 0.9.40 or newer, ideally the latest Git head version.

To automatically fetch and build the latest driver, run the following command as root:

curl -s http://linuxsupport.digital-devices.eu/dddvb_build.sh | bash /dev/stdin -g

This will download and compile the latest dddvb driver from Git.

For script options and more information, refer to: Build drivers documentation

Also possible Manual Installation

If you'd rather build the driver manually, follow this guide (be sure to change the version to 0.9.40a): Manual Build Instructions
