Feed into your house wiring up to 8x DVB-C (QAM) transponders, from up to 24x DVB-S/S2/S2X converted transponders. Transponder-spanning re-mixing of services, Pay TV and the feed of IPTV (Mulitcast, Unicast, HLS, SRT) are no obstacle.

The RESI headend generates up to 8 DVB-C transponders with high bandwidth using QAM256 modulation and a symbol rate of up to 7000 sym/s. The headend is remotely managed by our DDM tool for Windows, Linux or MAC via IP V4 or IP V6.

No matter if hotel, multi-party residential building, cruise ship or student dormitory. There are many scenarios where SAT reception is possible without problems, but then it becomes problematic at the cabling. New installations or old cables quickly present obstacles. With the RESI headend you save the expensive cable connection or the subsequent laying of coaxial conductors and simply feed the converted SAT signal or IPTV on your house coaxial cabling.

Particularly in the hotel industry can be guaranteed by means of the integrated CI slots and with subscription of a hotel contract with appropriate PayTV Providern, a surface-thinking supply of all rooms. All RESI headend stations are equipped with at least 4 CI slots as standard.

Configurable comfortably via remote access by means of our DDM software, which establishes a connection to the head-end station via LAN over IPV4 or IPV6. Via a graphical user interface, not only the operating status can be monitored live, but also the configuration is carried out. After selecting the channels to be converted, they are simply distributed to the respective new DVB-C QAM transponders.

There is no need to travel to the customer's premises, as the configuration can be carried out remotely. By means of a message system, you will receive a message immediately in the event of a malfunction. Time-consuming on-site measurements are no longer necessary. Support several head-end stations at different projects or customers directly from your company headquarters. Measure the signal inputs, such as signal strength, SNR, BER, etc., as well as the output power of the head-end station via remote access.

Online updates are distributed as easy as configuration, with just one click you can keep your headend always up to date with all improvements from our side, as well as system and security updates.

The RESI headend is housed in a 19" 1U industrial case to save space in the server rack.

The power consumption of the RESI headend is just 40 watts (fully equipped with up to 24 QAM output transponders and 24 tuners for the SAT inputs).

This product is made and produced in Germany and is subject to strict controls in the area of quality as well as environmental protection. We do not use electrolytic and tantalum capacitors in our modules. This is good for the environment and means a much longer lifetime (MTBF 500.000 h and more).

A DVB-C head-end enables satellite TV (via modulation conversion) on cable/antenna sockets connected in series.

  • A DVB-C headend can be used as a replacement for a broadband cable connection. One satellite dish is sufficient for many users.
    With a DVB-C headend, an older coaxial cabling can still be used.
  • In combination with our distribution amplifier AMP X8 and EOC 1000/EOC 2000, the existing coaxial cabling can also be used to transmit Gbit network data at the same time.
  • Expensive new cabling is not necessary.
  • The Digital Devices headends allow the conversion of up to 24 DVB-S/S2/S2X satellite transponders in up to 24 DVB-C transponders (Depending on model and equipment).
    This corresponds to about 192 SD channels, 96 HD channels or 48 UHD channels in good quality. By using the best reception technology, even weak signals at the edge of the reception ranges can be received.
  • The low power consumption ~60 W (at full configuration) helps to reduce operating costs significantly.
  • Our DDM software (Windows, Linux and MAC OS) can securely manage and monitor any number of headends remotely.
  • Our headends are delivered in a rugged 19" 1RU case of German manufacture. The small housing (440 mm x 243.5 mm x 44 mm) can also be used as a wall mounted housing. Up to 6 speed controlled fans provide sufficient cooling.

Signal Input

Signal Processing

  • Via the DDM software for Windows, MAC OS and Linux, the channels can be ordered and recombined as desired.
  • Depending on the configuration of the head-end, input signals from 8, 16 or 24 tuners can be processed.
  • Output signals from 8, 16 or 24 transponders are also available.
  • For encrypted channels, 4 Common Interface slots are available.
  • If a Common Interface is used in the system, decrypted broadcasts can be fed in via this.
    Note: The regulations of the PayTV providers or the regional public broadcasters must be observed.

Signal Output

  • The Digital Devices residential headend stations output a DVB-C compatible data stream.
    The newly assembled 8/16/24 transponders can be arbitrarily assigned to the 96 output frequencies from 114 - 848 MHz.
    Note: our headend does not perform transrating for energy efficiency reasons, the output data rate of a TV station is the same as the input data rate.
