The bandpass filter BPF266-682 provides targeted frequency filtering, ensuring that only signals in the range of 266 to 682 MHz are allowed to pass. This is particularly beneficial in networks used for both data transmission and television signals. Unlike a high-pass filter such as the HPF258, which merely blocks lower frequencies while allowing all higher ones to pass unimpeded, the bandpass filter enables precise limitation of the transmitted spectrum. This not only prevents unwanted interference in the lower frequency range for EOC but also suppresses high-frequency components outside the desired range.
When used with EOC2000 technology, which operates in the frequency spectrum of 0 to 200 MHz, the BPF266-682 ensures that frequencies below 266 MHz, particularly the spectrum utilized by EOC2000 from 0-200 MHz, are effectively blocked. This prevents unwanted interference from the lower frequency range, such as DOCSIS upload, from affecting the G.hn (EOC) network. At the same time, frequencies above 682 MHz are also suppressed, keeping the utilized spectrum clean and preventing disturbances from higher frequencies, which are often used for downstream transmissions, from entering the network.

The high-pass filter HPF258 is designed to block frequencies below 258 MHz and allow only signals in the range of 258 to 1218 MHz to pass through. This is particularly useful in networks used for both data transmission and television signals, as it prevents low-frequency interference from entering the system. Compared to a bandpass filter such as the BPF266-682, which selectively allows a specific frequency range and suppresses both lower and higher frequencies, the high-pass filter offers a simpler solution by merely blocking low frequencies while allowing all higher frequencies to pass unrestricted. This may be sufficient if the goal is only to remove unwanted low-frequency signals without precisely limiting the upper frequency spectrum.
When used with technologies like EOC2000, which operates in the frequency spectrum of 0 to 200 MHz, the HPF258 ensures that these low frequencies are effectively blocked. This prevents unwanted interference from this range, such as DOCSIS uploads, from affecting the network. At the same time, the filter allows frequencies above 258 MHz to pass freely, ensuring that essential signals used for downstream data transmissions and television broadcasting remain unaffected.
However, it is important to note that the HPF258 does not provide specific suppression of high-frequency interference above its passband. In environments where both low- and high-frequency disturbances are present, a bandpass filter like the BPF266-682 could offer more precise filtering by allowing only the desired frequency range to pass while suppressing both lower and higher unwanted frequencies.
Please check the frequencies used by your cable provider to ensure that the HPF258 is suitable for your network environment.
The high-pass filter HPF85 is designed to block frequencies below 85 MHz and allow only signals in the range of 85 to 1000 MHz to pass through. This is particularly useful in networks used for both data transmission and television signals, as it prevents low-frequency interference from entering the system. Compared to a bandpass filter, which selectively allows a specific frequency range while suppressing both lower and higher frequencies, the high-pass filter offers a simpler solution by merely blocking low frequencies and allowing all higher frequencies to pass unrestricted. This may be sufficient when the goal is only to remove unwanted low-frequency signals without precisely limiting the upper frequency spectrum.

The Isolator IS9-220 is the perfect addition to the AmpX8, ensuring optimal signal quality by eliminating interference before amplification. Due to the high gain of the AmpX8, even minor interference or ground loops can be amplified and distributed across all outputs. The IS9-220 effectively prevents this through galvanic isolation.
Ideal for use before the AmpX8 – prevents interference from being amplified at the input
Galvanic isolation – eliminates ground loops and removes unwanted potential differences
Blocks DC voltage (DC blocker) – protects the amplifier from unwanted DC signals
Minimal signal loss – ensures low-loss signal transmission despite isolation
High voltage resistance – safeguards connected devices from voltage fluctuations
By using the IS9-220 at the input of the AmpX8, only a clean RF signal is amplified and distributed across the eight output segments. This not only improves signal quality but also prevents issues caused by ground loops and unwanted DC voltages.
Perfect for professional Ethernet-over-Coax systems, ensuring a stable and interference-free signal transmission.
