The Digital Devices RESI Headend DVB-T 8 enables the conversion of up to 8 DVB-S/S2/S2X transponders into 8 DVB-T transponders. Satellite signals can be distributed via existing coaxial cabling without the need for re-cabling. The headend provides an efficient alternative to conventional broadband cable connections and is ideally suited for hotels, residential complexes, hospitals, spa facilities, or apartment buildings.
Through the four integrated Common Interface slots (no CI+), encrypted channels can be decrypted and fed centrally. Configuration and remote maintenance are carried out via the DDM software for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS. The 8 DVB-T transponders can be arbitrarily assigned to 96 output frequencies ranging from 114 to 848 MHz. Energy efficiency is enhanced by the fact that the headend performs no transrating – the output data rate of a TV channel corresponds to the input data rate.
- Conversion of 8 DVB-S/S2/S2X transponders into 8 DVB-T channels
- Approximately 30 Mbit/s bandwidth per DVB-T transponder
- Spectrum scan for analysis and rapid channel search
- Mixing of new transponders
- Four CI slots for encrypted TV channels (no CI+)
- Configuration and remote maintenance via DDM software
- Assignment of the 8 DVB-T transponders to 96 output frequencies from 114 to 848 MHz
- Power consumption of 30–40 W at full capacity
- Compact housing (300 x 164 x 137.5 mm) with regulated fans
- Durable construction without electrolytic and tantalum capacitors (MTBF over 500,000 hours)
The headend can be monitored and managed remotely using the DDM tool. Signal strength, SNR, and lock behavior can be measured, activities are automatically reported, and on-site measurements are unnecessary. Software updates can be conveniently applied online.
As a satellite input signal, the headend can be connected directly to existing LNBs (Quad or Quattro) or operated via a multiswitch. Additionally, support for Unicable® according to EN50494 and JESS®/Unicable II® according to EN50607 is available.
Tip
For simultaneous use of the coaxial cabling for TV and Gigabit network data, the headend can be combined with the AMP X8 distribution amplifier and/or the EOC 2000 adapters (Ethernet over Coax). This allows you to optimally utilize the existing coax infrastructure without having to install additional network cables.
