 The Streaming Server can be equipped with up to 12 tuners and is delivered with Octopus NET Mainboard for the direct connection of the corresponding modules (Tuner / CI) in a 1U housing of the company Inter-Tech, which was been especially adapted for the Octopus NET serverboards.

The Octopus NET Mainboard will modularly extended and allows a change of the installed receiving modules or extension. When changing locations, the Octopus NET can be adapted or extended at any time by exchanging these modules in the reception situation.

The Octopus NET Server Mainboards for SAT>IP can be configured for Unicast MPTS (RTSP Protocol) and Multicast MPTS (RTP / UDP Protocol) and are certified according to the SAT>IP standard and can be used with numerous software and hardware clients.

TVs from Panasonic with SAT> IP support, support directly the Octopus NET servers for all DVB reception types such as cable, terrestrial and satellite and are also suitable according to the MPTS method multicast. In the MPTS process, individual services as well as complete transponders can be sent to the client via a single stream, providing an ideal solution for hotels, residential applications, etc.

By installing a CI Slots, multicast and unicast streams can be decrypted* directly in the server.
(* Please note the terms and conditions of the PayTV / Content providers listed in your contract for use of the content.) The CI of the Octopus NET is not part of the SAT> IP specification and is therefore not supported by every client.

The built-in 5 port GigaBit Switch not only extends your network through additional LAN ports; you can also define the streams that are available on the ports in multicast mode. The Switch can also be used as an IGMPv3 Querrier.

With the help of SAT> IP Apps or Players, you can look anywhere on your mobile device in your WLAN network wherever you want or where no coaxial cable can be installed or moved. SAT> IP Set Top Boxes are available for this purpose from many manufacturers. When choosing the client, make sure that it supports the reception modes of the Octopus NET server.

Ideal for the construction of multimedia PCs and media center systems in home as well as streaming and recording server for data analysis in the professional field.

The DuoFlex C2 / T2 / ISDB-T is equipped to receive stations which via Terrestrial (DVB-T and DVB-T2 transponder) and cable (DVB-C and DVB-C2 transponder) are common. Also the reception of ISDB-T is given by ARIB STD-B31 standard. The DuoFlex used for displaying, recording and analysis of MPEG2 (SD / HD H.262) MPEG4 (SD / HD H.264) and HEVC (HD / UHD H.265) signals.

The DuoFlex C2 / T2 / ISDB-T is equipped with 2 full tuners (twin tuner technology). So you have the possibility to receive two different transponders at the same time. Use this feature to receive two different cable or terrestrial transponders (frequencies) by DVB-C/T or ISDB-T simultaneously, for example to record a channel and watch another one. Each tuner works independently, so are all data from the transponders available.

Over the OnBoard Located Expansion Port, the card can at any time connected to devices of the Cine or Octopus series. So you can for example, the DuoFlex Twin Tuner expansion modules use to expand an existing card to raise up to 8 tuners, by using only one PCI Express slot.

Like all Digital Devices products also DuoFlex C2 / T2 / ISDB-T has a single cable system. The tuners are supplied internally via the connection over single cable. Over the separate output more TV modules of any series can be connected. There are no special drivers for this under Linux or Windows required.

By using ceramic capacitors and high-quality components the DuoFlex ensures a long life even in 24/7 server operation.

Through the small dimensions of the DuoFlex C2/T2/ISDB-T, it can be mounted in low and full profile PC cases (PCs with low and full-height) or as an extension to a full profile bracket in combination with the Cine or Octopus series (model dependent)

Auch einige private TV-Programme sind digital frei empfangbar. Optional: Für den kompletten Empfang aller digitalen Programme (Umfang abhängig von ihrem abgeschlossenen Vertrag mit dem Content-Anbieter) nutzen Sie unsere Common Interface Erweiterung. Diese kann direkt an Ihrer Digital Devices Karte angeschlossen werden.

Die DuoFlex CI Erweiterung stellt im genutzten System zwei CI-Slots zur Verfügung. Das DuoFlex CI kann für die Produkte der Cine-, Octopus- und Octopus NET Serien genutzt werden. Das DuoFlex CI dient zur Aufnahme von zwei Conditional Access Module (CAM). Einige CAMs beherrschen die Multi Transponder Decrypting (MTD) Technologie, die es erlaubt bis zu 4 TV-Kanäle/Tuner über nur einem CAM (Anzahl Herstellerabhängig) zu entschlüsseln.

Die Common Interface Erweiterung wird per Flachbandkabel an die Basiskarte angesteckt. Zusätzlich wird Sie mit dem mitgelieferten Stromadapter mit Strom versorgt. Dank der mitgelieferten Low-Profil und Full-Profil Slotbleche, ist der individuell Einbau möglich.


Was ist ein Common Interface (CI)?
CI-LogikIn eine Common Interface Schnittstelle (gern auch CI-Slot genannt), wird ein Conditional Access Module (CAM) eingesteckt. In dieses CAM wird dann wiederrum die Smartcard eines Content-Anbieter eingesteckt. Sind alle Komponenten aufeinander abgestimmt, kann das TV-Signal entschlüsselt werden.

Was ist Multi Transponder Decrypting (MTD)?
Multi Transponder Decrypting ist eine neue Technologie, die es erlaubt bis zu 4 TV-Kanäle/Tuner über nur einem Conditional Access Module (Anzahl Herstellerabhängig) zu entschlüsseln.

The Max A8i is equipped for the reception of transmitters which via DVB-C / C2, DVB-T / T2 (Digital cable or terrestrial) or ISDB-T are disseminated and used for displaying, recording and analysis of MPEG2 (SD / HD H.262) MPEG4 (SD / HD H.264) and HEVC (HD / UHD H.265) signals.

The Max A8i is equipped at the factory with 8 full tuners (Octo Tuner Technology). So you have the option of eight different transponders to receive at the same time. For example you can use this feature to receive up to eight different digital cable or digital terrestrial transponders (frequencies) at same time for recording or streaming multiple channels and watch one or Handle multiple other. Since each tuner works independently are all data from the transponders available.

The Max A8i supports Onecable solution, so that only one supply line to the card is required to supply all the 8 internal tuner.

The Digital Devices MAX A8i can be expanded with an Octopus single CI or Octopus Twin-CI Card over an additional PCIe. Of course also a Flex / DuoFlex-CI device which is connected to a Cine or Octopus Bridge can be used.

Due to the installation height of Full-profile, the Max A8i can fits exclusively in Full profile housing (housing with full-height).

The power consumption is at only 13-16 watts during normal operation (depending on the reception mode).

Please note that for the operation of the card your PC case requires an active cooling.

Digital Devices MAX S8 DVB-S2 (4/8) comes with 8x DVB-S/S2 tuners on only one PCI Express card. With the Digital Devices MAX S8 Digital Devices presents an HDTV tuner card for the PCI Express slot with eight TV tuners. The ultra-compact design, only 5 watts power consumption, the choice of operating mode and support for the single-cable solutions according EN50494 (Unicable®) and EN50607 (JESS®), allows a flexible use in any situation and for any solution.

Suitable on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8(.1) and Linux, the Digital Devices MAX S8 can be integrated by flexible selection of the operating mode individually in the environment. The operating modes allows a single-cable mode according to EN50494 (Unicable®) and EN50607 (JESS®), the use of quad LNBs and 4 lines from multi-switches and Quattro LNB's or master output of a multiswitch.

The Digital Devices MAX S8 can be used immediately with numerous TV applications. Favorite products are for example DD-TV, Windows Media Center, DVBViewer, MediaPortal, Gen2VDR or MythTV.


 Operation Mode Quad LNB or 4 Multiswitch Outputs

Use this option if you want to connect your Max S8 to a normal multiswitch or LNB with integrated multi-switch (QUAD LNB or OCTO LNB). For both cases, four SAT lines are required to provide a full-featured and full reception (all four levels SAT).


Operation Mode Quattro LNB or Multiswitch cascade output (VL, VH, HL, HH)
Use this option if you want to connect your Max S8 to a multi-switch, which can be cascaded. Such multi-switch have in addition to the inputs for a Quattro LNB, four outputs which are also known as "cascade outputs". These outputs give only from a Quattro LNB received signals unaltered out again. Alternatively, the four outputs can be directly used by a Quattro LNB without multiswitch.

Operation Mode Singlecable Solution

in this operation mode the card can be used over only one antenna cable via Unicable®*1 oder JESS®*2 supported equipment. Thereby it is possible to provide up to 8 Tuners by a UniCable® System and up to 32 Tuners with a JESS® System. More than one satellite can be used in this mode.

(In this mode, you need for 8 tuners only 1 cable to port 1, thanks to an integrated multi-switch)
