The SMARC Module A311D2 is a high-performance CPU module designed for embedded systems. It is very fast, efficient, cost-effective, and of very high quality.

SMARC (Smart Mobility ARChitecture) is an open standard for compact, energy-efficient CPU modules. It defines a standardized form factor and interfaces that enable easy integration and scalability across a wide range of embedded and mobile applications.

Technical Details and Function

The module is based on an ARM-based processor that consists of two different core types:

• CPU:
  • 4 × Cortex-A73 @2.2GHz for compute-intensive tasks
  • 4 × Cortex-A53 @2.0GHz to support less demanding processes
• GPU: Mali-G52 MP8, which provides reliable graphic rendering

With 4/8GB LPDDR4 (2133MHz) and 64GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage, the module is capable of processing complex tasks and large volumes of data. The operating system is based on Linux (Kernel 6.12, as of January '25), which allows for flexible software development and easy integration into existing systems. Thanks to a 12‑nm process and a TDP of 5 watts, the module is energy efficient and ideal for applications where low power consumption is important.
