The SMARC Module A311D is a high-performance CPU module designed for embedded systems. It is fast, efficient, cost-effective, and built to the highest quality standards.
What is SMARC? SMARC (Smart Mobility ARChitecture) is an open standard for compact, low-power CPU modules. It defines a standardized form factor and interface, enabling easy integration and scalability in a wide range of embedded and mobile applications.
Technical Details and Function
The module is based on an ARM-based processor that consists of two different core types:
- CPU:
- 4 × Cortex-A73 at 2.2GHz for compute-intensive tasks
- 2 × Cortex-A53 at 1.8GHz for supporting less demanding processes
- 4 × Cortex-A73 at 2.2GHz for compute-intensive tasks
- GPU: Mali G52 MP4, which provides reliable graphic rendering
- NPU: 5.0 TOPS for accelerating AI and machine learning applications
With 4GB LPDDR4 running at 1608MHz and 64GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage, the module is capable of handling complex tasks and large amounts of data. The operating system is based on Linux (Kernel 6.12, as of January '25), allowing flexible software development and easy integration into existing systems. Thanks to a 12‑nm process with a TDP of 6 watts, the module is energy efficient and well-suited for applications where low power consumption is important.
