PCI Express Expander Backplane System
Expand the number of PCIe slots on a motherboard of your choice with our PCIe expansion technology. Simply place the supplied host adapter in a free PCI Express x4 slot on your motherboard. The counterpart, the so-called client adapter, is placed on the PCI-Express backplane. Using the supplied data cables, you now connect the two controllers together. The system is ready for use immediately. The backplane(s) feature a transparent PCIe switch that handles communication between the PCIe devices and the host transparently. No drivers are required and it works on all systems from Windows to MAC OS to Linux.
PCI Express Backplane - Case #2 - ATX Case
The Case #2 offers space for 6/12/18/19x PCIe slots in a robust 19" case. In addition to the backplanes, an ATX motherboard can be placed in Case #2, on which the client adapter(s) for expanding the PCI Express slots can be installed. The client adapter on the backplane and the host adapter on the motherboard are connected using the supplied 50cm data cables.
Also included in the delivery is the 650Watt SFX power supply, which is designed for continuous operation (24/7), along with five 80mm fans that ensure optimal cooling, even with a full complement of cards and use in harsh industrial environments.
